Mental Health

Griesbach & Associates have carried out research on a wide range of topics under the broad heading of mental health. We have particular expertise in the areas of mental health legislation, suicide and self-harm, suicide prevention and mental health improvement. Some of our recent projects have included:

National training in trauma enhanced practice: an evaluation - stage 1
(Client: Epione Training and Consultancy)
In October 2019, Dawn Griesbach carried out an independent evaluation of training delivered by Epione Training and Consultancy. The evaluation focused on analysing feedback from training participants. A report of the evaluation findings is available here.

Learning disability and autism provision in the Mental Health (Care and Treatment)(Scotland) Act 2003: a scoping study
(Client: Mental Welfare Commission and Scottish Commission for Learning Disability)
The purpose of this study carried out in Autumn 2016 was to help lay the foundations for a review which will consider whether the provisions in the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003 fulfil the needs of people with learning disability and autism. (Note the subsequent review was carried out between September 2018 and December 2019.)   The scoping study report is available here.
