Final report of the Crieff Community Survey

The Crieff and Upper Strathearn Partnership (CUSP) are launching the results from the Crieff Community Survey at a meeting at the Crieff Hydro on Tuesday, 23 November.   Presentations by John Champion (CUSP) and Dawn Griesbach (Griesbach & Associates) will be followed by discussion about the way forward.   The discussion will be led by Jim Mather, the Scottish Government’s Minister for Enterprise, Energy and Tourism.

Community survey in Crieff

Griesbach & Associates will be assisting the Crieff and Upper Strathearn Partnership (CUSP) and Perth & Kinross Council to carry out a survey of a representative sample of the residents of Crieff. The purpose of the survey is to get the views of people who live and work in Crieff about options for improving the town centre. The survey will happen during August – September.

Guidelines for Injecting Equipment Provision services published

Today the Scottish Government published a set of national guidelines for services providing injecting equipment to injecting drug users.   These guidelines will play a key role in the Scottish Government’s strategy to reduce the spread of Hepatitis C.  The guidelines were drafted by Dawn Griesbach, working together with Professor Avril Taylor (University of the West of Scotland), and a group of 18 experts in the field.

Impact evaluation of the Choose Life Training programme

In 2007-08, Griesbach & Associates carried out a major national evaluation of ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training).  We have now been commissioned to carry out an evaluation of the impact of the wider Choose Life suicide prevention training programme, including ASIST, STORM and safeTALK.  The evaluation has been funded by NHS Health Scotland.  Dawn will be working with associate, Patricia Russell, on this project.

Learning review of the Equally Connected programme

NHS Health Scotland have commissioned Jacki Gordon and Dawn Griesbach to carry out a learning review of their Equally Connected programme.  Equally Connected aims to gather information about how primary care mental health services can become more accessible to people from black and minority ethnic communities in Scotland.

Scottish Government publishes Choose Life evaluation

The final report of an evaluation of phase 2 of Choose Life was published by the Scottish Government on 31 March.  Dawn Griesbach worked together with Patricia Russell & Associates on this study.

NHS Health Scotland has published a report on public and health professionals’ knowledge and attitudes towards vitamin D and folic acid supplementation.  The report presents the findings of an analysis of qualitative data carried out by Dawn Griesbach.

Folic acid and Vitamin D supplements

Griesbach & Associates have been chosen by NHS Health Scotland to carry out an analysis of qualitative data (from focus groups and interviews) to determine public and health professionals’ knowledge and attitudes towards folic acid and Vitamin D supplementation.

Evaluation of the Scottish Recovery Network

Following a competitive tender, Griesbach & Associates have been chosen by the Scottish Government to carry out an evaluation of the Scottish Recovery Network.  Dawn will be working in association with Jacki Gordon (Jacki Gordon + Associates), Lucy Johnston (Lucy Johnston Research), Clare Lardner (Clarity) and Patricia Russell (Patricia Russell & Associates).
